Have you heard of Liberland? If you have not, learn here and follow all the necessary links.
I have checked whether this micronation has its Anthem or not. Apparently it did – „Free and Fair” – but when I talked to some people close to Liberland authorities it is not official yet.
I like this song but, frankly speaking, it does not sound like an anthem for me. It does not catch me as the anthem should. Of course, this is only my individual impression. However, not being asked by anybody, I attempted to compose a song which I think could also be the Anthem of Liberland.
Before you hear it: yes, I know, this is not a high quality recording. I really could do nothing better at home. But everything you need you can hear here, and making it sound professional is just a matter of a good recording studio and better musician(s) than myself.
(I don’t know why my browser shows 17 minutes and 29 seconds for this but I promise it’s shorter than 3 minutes)
Turn ears and hear the call Summoning you to take your freedom in your hand For you and your children, Turn ears and hear the call of Liberland. We wish you to join us To carry liberty all over the Earth. If life has its purpose, Being free is what we believe it’s worth. United for Liberty Of every action performed by you and me. Yourself belongs to you, myself belongs to me, Stop being slaves of one another, be free. United for Liberty For every day to be lived by you and me. Thinking and acting individually, We are united for Liberty. Vit being the founder, Not our king, as he would be in state. No “must not”s, no “have to”s, It’s about time for aggression to fade. Replying to call we hear, The community with no state’s handcuffs. I don’t want to run your life: I live my own, I run my own, that’s enough. United for Liberty Of every action performed by you and me. Yourself belongs to you, myself belongs to me, Stop being slaves of one another, be free. United for Liberty For every day to be lived by you and me. Thinking and acting individually, We are united for Liberty.
Actually, I’m not really sure what is the correct spelling of „must not”s and „have to”s.
Of course this is fully allowed to be reproduced, re-recorded, I even allow manipulating the lyrics (it should be possible to improve its singability by adding or moving a syllable here or there). I would just like to know about such a usage for my own satisfaction.
Until next week, have a nice weekend!
